Hi and welcome to Notes from SF, my blog! I’m Amara and I am a 10 year old multiracial girl. I live in, you guessed it, San Francisco with my brother, mom, dad, and hermit crab.

I play the piano and last year I passed the Preparatory Level for the Certificate of Merit. I also like to cook and bake, and occasionally my recipes might pop up on here. I am also learning French via Duolingo, a class, and a grammar book. Some of my current obsessions include: social justice realistic fiction books, mangoes, and thematic maps.

When I grow up, I want to be a Congresswoman so I can help people (my idol is AOC); or a young adult novel writer. I started this blog because I like writing, and I like expressing myself. So, I thought, what better way to express myself than in the form of writing? I hope that reading my blog makes you happy and gives you information that you will use!
